A solution is now available to end the search for smooth skin without stubble. Hair naturally grows in cycles that vary by location on the body. Specially developed lasers are used for the treatment of permanent hair reduction, normally with a minimal of 3 visits and can be up to 6 for maximum results.

Our state-of-the-art laser performs with more joules to provide immediate results with less pain than waxing and electrolysis.

What to expect:

• Safety eyewear to protect the patient's eyes during the procedure from the intense laser light.
• A small handpiece will be used with a distance gauge that touches the skin to deliver the laser light along with the laser coolant.
• Most patients experience little discomfort at the treatment site because of the dynamic cooling device.
• The degree of discomfort varies with each person, depending on his/her pain threshold. Most patients experience nothing more than a rubber band snapping.
• The procedure can take as little as 5 minutes or up to an hour, depending on the area treated. Patients go home immediately following treatment.
• The treated area may become pink or red within about 30 minutes of treatment; this may last from a few hours to several days.

What precautions should be taken before and after treatment?

• Avoid sun 4-6 weeks before and after treatment. There can be no sun exposure to the treated area for the duration of the treatment.
• Avoid plucking and waxing hair for 6 weeks prior to treatment.
• If you have had a history of perioral herpes, please disclose this at the consultation.

Patient information / Helpful hints

• Check with your pharmacist to assure that you are not taking light sensitive, prescriptive or non prescriptive medication (such as antibiotics, St. Johns Wort, Earl Grey tea which contains Oil of Bergamot, Red Bull Energy drink, etc.)
• Jewelry, watches or reflective materials should not be worn.
• For Body areas Bikini, Backs, Shoulders, Underarms, etc. do not wear dark under-clothing. Best colors to wear are "red" or "white". Laser energy is absorbed by dark colors.
• You can go home or to work immediately following treatment.
